Overview

Open source projects, like the Mozilla project, have been compared to great babbling bazaars, and the process by which things get done to "organized chaos." Despite this commonly held view, many people still refer to "Mozilla" as though it existed as a single entity. In this talk David will update the idea of the bazaar, telling the human stories of the Mozilla project, and speak about the unspoken aspects of working in a global open source community . Along the way he will address both long-time contributors and those getting started--in the end there is no difference and both occupy the same space.
